No. Upscaling runs in your browser using a Canvas + sharpening pipeline.

How big can my image be?

A few thousand pixels per side is fine. Very large images may exhaust memory at 4×.

Why not a full ESRGAN model?

Real-ESRGAN-small is ~15MB — we plan to add it as an opt-in heavy option. The default sharpening pipeline already produces clean results for small icons and logos.
