Add Border Frame for Photo Printing

Traditional photo prints from film photography naturally had a thin white border around them — a side effect of the enlarging process. Digital prints often lack this border, and adding one before printing gives digital photos a more classic, physical-photograph feel.

For printing, a 2–4% border relative to image size is traditional. For a 3000×2000 px image, a 60–80 px border gives approximately a 2–3% margin that prints well on 6×4 inch paper. Larger prints (A4 or above) benefit from proportionally wider borders.

Choose any border colour — white for a clean classic look, cream for a warm vintage feel, or black for a bold contemporary frame. Download and send directly to your printer or photo lab. No upload required.
