Add DRAFT Watermark to PDF

Distributing document drafts without clearly marking them as drafts can lead to confusion, especially in collaborative workflows where multiple versions circulate simultaneously. Adding a "DRAFT" watermark makes the document status unambiguous.

This tool adds a large diagonal "DRAFT" watermark to every page of your PDF. Configure the opacity to find the right balance — a high opacity (80–90%) makes the draft status unmissable, while a lower opacity (40–50%) is more subtle for internal review copies.

The watermark is vector text added by pdf-lib in your browser. It is readable in the PDF viewer and appears correctly when printed. Nothing is uploaded. The watermarked PDF downloads directly to your device.

Once the document is finalized, use this tool again with a blank watermark to remove the draft status, or simply generate a new version of the file without the watermark.
