Sharpen Image for Print Output

Images often look softer when printed than on screen. This is because inkjet printers spread ink slightly on paper — especially matte and uncoated stock — reducing the effective sharpness of fine details. Output sharpening applied specifically for the print medium compensates for this softening.

For printing on standard photo paper (glossy), try intensity 3–4. For matte or uncoated paper, use intensity 5–7. Fine art paper and canvas typically need intensity 6–8 to compensate for the more absorbent surface.

This tool applies sharpening directly in your browser. Drop your photo, adjust the intensity, and download the sharpened version ready for your printer. No upload required — your photos stay on your device throughout the process.
