What is vaporwave text?

Vaporwave text uses Unicode fullwidth characters (U+FF01–U+FF5E) to create spaced-out, wide Latin characters like Ａ Ｅ Ｓ Ｔ Ｈ Ｅ Ｔ Ｉ Ｃ. These characters were originally designed for East Asian typography where each character occupies a standard square cell the same width as CJK characters. In vaporwave art — an internet aesthetic combining 80s/90s nostalgia, neon colours, and lo-fi music — these wide characters became iconic.
