Make Your Photos Searchable

Photos taken of documents, whiteboards, signs, or printed text are visually clear but digitally opaque — search engines and document management systems cannot read the text inside them. Making photos searchable means embedding a machine-readable text layer, which this tool does automatically using Tesseract.js OCR.

The output is a standard PDF where each photo is one page and the recognised text is embedded beneath the image. This PDF is searchable in every modern PDF viewer and can be indexed by document management systems, email clients, and search tools like macOS Spotlight or Windows Search.

Common scenarios: a folder of whiteboard photos from a brainstorming session that you want to search by keyword, phone photos of printed handouts that you want to copy text from, or an archive of old documents scanned as images that you now want to make searchable without re-typing.

Everything runs in your browser. Upload nothing, pay nothing.
