Add Page Numbers to PDF

Adding page numbers to a PDF is essential for professional documents: reports, theses, legal briefs, and proposals all benefit from clear pagination. This tool adds page numbers to every page of your PDF with configurable position, font size, and starting number.

Choose whether to place the page number at the bottom center, bottom right, bottom left, top center, top right, or top left. Set the starting page number (useful when the document continues from a previous file), and adjust the font size for your document's format.

The page numbers are added as vector text directly to the PDF using pdf-lib, so they are sharp at any zoom level and selectable in PDF readers. Nothing is rasterized.

All processing happens in your browser. The PDF is never uploaded. Works on desktop and mobile browsers.
