10for 10 km or a half-marathon at13.1miles). - Enter your total finish time in
MM:SSformat, orHH:MM:SSfor runs over an hour. - Click Calculate Splits to see your pace in both min/km and min/mile, plus a full split table.
- Optionally, click Export CSV to download splits for use in Garmin Connect or any training log spreadsheet.
Pace conversion reference
1 mile = 1.60934 km, so to convert pace: min/km × 1.60934 = min/mile. A 5:00 min/km pace equals 8:03 min/mile. A 6:00 min/km pace equals 9:40 min/mile. The split table below lets you see both simultaneously without manual arithmetic.

よくある質問
- How do I convert pace from min/km to min/mile?
- Multiply your min/km pace by 1.60934. For example, 5:00 min/km equals 8:03 min/mile. This calculator shows both units simultaneously so you never need to convert manually.
- What is a good running pace for a beginner?
- Beginner runners typically run 7–9 min/km (11–14 min/mile). Intermediate runners manage 5–7 min/km (8–11 min/mile). Elite club runners sustain 3:30–5:00 min/km (5:40–8:00 min/mile). Any pace that lets you hold a conversation is healthy for easy runs.
- What does even splits mean in running?
- Even splits means running every kilometre (or mile) at the same pace. This calculator generates even-split tables — ideal for pacing a race or a structured training run. Many coaches also recommend negative splits, where the second half is slightly faster.
- How do I use the CSV export with Garmin?
- Click Export CSV to download your split table. Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets to reference target times when programming a structured workout on Garmin Connect or entering manual splits in your GPS watch app.
- Is this calculator free and private?
- Yes, completely free with no signup. All calculations run in JavaScript inside your browser — nothing is sent to any server.
