10K Pace & Split Calculator

Calculate your 10K running pace in min/km and min/mile. Get a complete per-km and per-mile split table to pace your race perfectly. Free and instant.

The 10K (10 kilometres = 6.21 miles) is a benchmark distance for recreational and competitive runners alike. A well-paced 10K delivers a strong average speed without the bonk risk of longer races.

Enter your target 10K finish time to see your required min/km pace, min/mile pace, and a complete split table for every km and mile of the race. For example, a 50:00 finish requires a 5:00 min/km (8:03 min/mile) pace, with kilometer splits at 5:00, 10:00, 15:00 … 50:00.

Use the Export CSV button to download your split table. Load it in a spreadsheet, and refer to the km-marker elapsed times during your race or training run to stay on target.

For a 10K personal best attempt, aim to run kilometres 1–3 at 5–10 seconds per km slower than goal pace, build to goal pace from km 4–7, then push in the final 3 km. This calculator gives you the even-split baseline — adjust manually in your target spreadsheet if you plan a different strategy.
