Conway's Game of Life
Watch cells live or die based on their neighbors: a live cell with 2 or 3 neighbors survives; a dead cell with exactly 3 neighbors becomes alive; all others die or stay dead. Draw cells by clicking or dragging on the grid, then press Play. Use Random to seed a starting pattern. Patterns can become still lifes, oscillators, or gliders that travel forever.

How to play
- Click or tap cells to toggle them alive (bright) or dead (dark). Drag to paint multiple cells. Or press Random for a seeded starting grid.
- Press Play to start the simulation — each generation applies the birth/survival rules simultaneously to every cell.
- Press Step to advance one generation at a time. Press Pause to stop, then edit cells and continue.
