Add Footer Page Numbers to PDF

Footer page numbers are the most common convention for documents like reports, theses, and books. Placing numbers at the bottom of the page keeps them out of the main content area and follows standard typographic practice.

This tool places page numbers in the footer of your PDF — choose bottom-left for left-aligned footers, bottom-center for centered pagination (most common), or bottom-right for right-aligned numbering.

The numbers are set at a configurable distance from the bottom edge of the page, so they do not overlap with content even in PDFs with narrow margins. Font size is also adjustable for documents where small print or larger numbers are needed.

Processing is client-side using pdf-lib. Your PDF is never transmitted to any server.
