1 mile = 1.60934 km. To convert pace: min/km × 1.60934 = min/mile and min/mile ÷ 1.60934 = min/km. Common conversions:

Treadmill speed vs outdoor pace

Treadmill speed (km/h) = 60 ÷ pace (min/km). Treadmill speed (mph) = 60 ÷ pace (min/mile). Treadmills typically set in 0.1 km/h or 0.1 mph increments, so round to the nearest tenth. Note that treadmill running is slightly easier than road running at equivalent speeds — most runners set a 1% incline to compensate for the lack of air resistance.
