Common use cases

Frequently asked questions

Why is the first run slow?

ffmpeg.wasm is about 25 MB and is downloaded once on first use, then cached for instant subsequent runs.

Does the MOV preserve the original frame rate?

Yes — the GIF's frame timing is honoured. ffmpeg pads odd dimensions by one pixel so H.264 encoding never fails on quirky sizes.
