Preguntas frecuentes

How loud can I make my video?
You can multiply audio level by up to 10× (about +20 dB). Going much higher than 2-3× on already-normal audio will introduce clipping and distortion. Use the slider to find a balance for your specific clip.
Will boosting cause clipping or distortion?
If the original audio is already near the maximum level, boosting will push the loudest samples into hard-clipping which sounds harsh. Quiet recordings (interviews, phone footage with distant subjects) can usually be boosted 2-5× without audible problems.
How does dB relate to the multiplier?
The relationship is logarithmic: 2× volume is about +6 dB, 4× is about +12 dB, and 10× is about +20 dB. The slider shows both so you can pick what is intuitive — engineers often think in dB, casual users in multipliers.
Is the video re-encoded too?
No. Only the audio is processed; the video stream is copied without re-encoding. This keeps the operation fast and preserves video quality exactly.
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. ffmpeg.wasm runs in your browser via WebAssembly. The file never leaves your device — important for confidential recordings and personal footage.
What output format is produced?
The output is MP4 with the original video stream plus the amplified AAC audio. This is compatible with every modern player, phone and editing app.
