Preguntas frecuentes
- What is a fake name generator used for?
- Fake name generators produce realistic-looking test data for software development, UI mockups, database seeding, and automated testing. Using fake data instead of real personal information protects user privacy during development.
- Are these real people's names?
- No. Names are assembled by randomly combining first names and last names from locale-specific word lists. They are not taken from any real person's data.
- Are the phone numbers real?
- No. Phone numbers follow the correct format for each locale but are generated randomly. They will not ring any real number. Always use fake phone numbers in test data — never use real ones.
- Are the addresses deliverable?
- No. Addresses use real street name patterns and city names for realism, but street numbers and combinations are random. They will not match any real address.
- Can I download the output as CSV?
- Yes. Click "Download CSV" to save the generated data as a comma-separated file, ready to import into a database or spreadsheet.
- Which locales are supported?
- English (en-US), Traditional Chinese (zh-TW), Japanese (ja-JP), German (de-DE), French (fr-FR), and Spanish (es-ES). More locales may be added in future versions.
- Is the generation done in my browser?
- Yes. All data is generated locally. No names, addresses, or phone numbers are sent to any server. The locale word lists are embedded in the page.
- Can I generate data for GDPR compliance testing?
- Yes. Because the data is entirely fictional, there are no GDPR obligations tied to it. It is safe to use in test databases, staging environments, and demo accounts.
