How to change your voice online
- Click Choose file and open your audio recording (MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, or M4A). Your file stays entirely in the browser tab — nothing is uploaded to any server.
- Pick a preset (Chipmunk, Deep Voice, Robot, or Ghost) or manually drag the Pitch slider to dial in semitones. Toggle Reverb, Echo, or Robot for additional layered effects.
- Click Apply Effects & Download. The Web Audio API processes the audio entirely inside your browser. When it finishes, click Download WAV to save your changed voice file.
Why use a browser-based voice changer?
Most voice changers either require a desktop install or send your audio to a remote server. App installs take time and carry a security risk. Server uploads mean your voice recording — which may include sensitive content — leaves your device. This tool runs entirely client-side using the browser's built-in Web Audio API. No bytes are ever transmitted, there is no file-size limit, and no account or plugin is required.
Pitch shifting adjusts playback rate to raise or lower pitch by the chosen semitones — the same technique used in Audacity and most browser-based audio editors. Reverb uses convolution with a programmatically generated impulse response. Echo applies a 300 ms delay with 45% feedback. The Robot effect multiplies your audio with a 100 Hz sine-wave carrier (ring modulation), creating the classic mechanical voice used in sci-fi films and electronic music.

Preguntas frecuentes
- Does my audio file get uploaded to a server?
- No. The Voice Changer runs 100% in your browser using the Web Audio API. Your audio file is never sent to any server — it stays entirely within your browser tab.
- What voice effects are available?
- You can shift the pitch from −12 to +12 semitones, add convolution reverb, add echo with feedback, and apply a robot ring-modulation effect. Quick-start presets include Chipmunk (+8 semitones), Deep Voice (−6 semitones), Robot (ring mod at 100 Hz), and Ghost (light pitch-down + reverb + echo).
- What audio formats are supported?
- The tool accepts MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC/M4A, and WebM — any format your browser can decode. The output is a downloadable WAV file. To convert the WAV to MP3, use the WAV to MP3 Converter on this site.
- Does pitch shifting change the playback speed?
- Yes, slightly. This tool uses playback-rate pitch shifting, which is the same technique Audacity and most browser-based tools use. Pitching up 8 semitones (Chipmunk) makes the audio about 59% faster; pitching down 6 semitones (Deep Voice) makes it about 29% slower. For tempo-independent pitch shifting you would need a DAW with a dedicated pitch-shift plugin.
- What is the robot voice effect?
- The robot effect applies ring modulation: your audio is multiplied by a 100 Hz sine-wave carrier oscillator. This creates the classic mechanical voice used in science-fiction films and electronic music. Combining it with the echo effect adds a spacey, synthetic quality.
- Does it work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes. The tool works in Safari on iPhone (iOS 16+) and in Chrome and Firefox on Android. Processing a large file may take a few seconds on lower-end devices. The OfflineAudioContext used for processing is fully supported in all major modern browsers.
