Song BPM Finder by Tapping
Tap along to any song to find its BPM instantly. Rolling average, history log, and copy-to-DAW format — free, offline, no upload.
An online BPM counter is a browser tool that calculates beats per minute in real time as you tap. Unlike desktop software, it loads instantly on any device, needs no installation, and works even on a phone while you hold your headphones to your ear and tap the screen.
BPM ranges by genre
- Hip-hop / trap — 60–100 BPM
- Pop — 100–130 BPM
- House / dance — 120–135 BPM
- Techno / EDM — 130–160 BPM
- Drum and bass — 160–180 BPM
How to use
- Open your music source in another tab or on another device.
- Return here and tap with the beat for at least 8 counts.
- Copy the BPM reading with the Copy to DAW button and paste it wherever you need it.

Preguntas frecuentes
- Does an online BPM counter need a microphone?
- Not this one. Tap-based BPM counters require no audio input — just your finger or a keyboard key. There is nothing to grant permission for.
- Can I count BPM for electronic music?
- Absolutely. EDM, techno, house, and drum-and-bass tracks have a very consistent beat, which makes tap-based BPM counting especially accurate. Use the 8 or 16 tap window for EDM.
- Is the reading saved between sessions?
- Yes. Readings of 4+ taps are saved automatically in IndexedDB in your browser. They persist across page reloads but are never synced to a server.
