Open Embedded Files in a PDF
Adobe Acrobat displays embedded PDF attachments in its Attachments panel (View → Navigation Panels → Attachments). But Acrobat requires a paid subscription, and many lightweight PDF viewers simply do not surface attachments at all — leaving users unaware that additional files are embedded in the document.
This browser tool reads the /EmbeddedFiles name tree directly from the PDF's internal structure and presents every attachment with its original filename and size. You can then download each file with a single click — no Acrobat, no plugins, no account.
This is particularly useful for ZUGFeRD and Factur-X e-invoices, which are standard PDFs that contain an embedded XML file with structured invoice data. Accounting systems and ERP integrations often need to access this XML directly. This tool extracts it instantly without any setup.
All processing is local. The PDF is never transmitted anywhere.
